Stewed Shanks a Bay Leaf recipe

A mouth-watering recipe with a mix of lamb shanks and chunky vegetables. Complemented by several yummy spices including bay leaves, cinnamon quill, whole petter and crushed ginger/garlic.


Ingredients Quantity
Bay leaves 8 leaves
Cinnamon quill 1
Cracked black Pepper 2 tsp
Lamb shanks 2
Chunky Mix Vegetable 200 g
Onion diced 1 medium size
Crushed garlic 1 tsp
Crushed ginger 1 tsp
Sliced lemon half
Apricot 6
Almonds 8
Cashews 8
Water 2 litres
Salt To taste
Mix herb 1 tsp
Butter 50 g


Step 1: Put all the ingredients in a heavy bottom stock pot. Add water and slow cook for 2 to 3 hours, until the meat is tender.

Step 2: Serve warm with cracked pepper and a knob of organic butter.
